Education Starts with Experience.
What We Do
Lead by Example
We believe leadership is best modeled through mentorship.
Studies show we learn and grow more when we are connected. Work of Art carefully pairs each mentee with a trained mentor with similar interests.
Inspire Others
Connect the World
Inspiration is our first priority! During each Work of Art workshop or activity, the mentors and mentees are both inspired and inspiring through each other and our guests. We take this practice into our every day lives. Inspiring those we meet along the way.
We connect to our families, each other, our community and most importantly to ourselves through monthly thought- provoking activities and character development.
"We believe we are all works of art, shaped and molded by our personal experiences. Through character development, social-emotional empowerment, community service, post-secondary exploration and education each mentee will strive to achieve their full potential."
- Kai Butler, Founding Executive Director
Our Mission
Work of Art is designed to empower young ladies ages 13-18 from underserved populations. The mission of the program is built on three beliefs: lead by example, inspire others and help mentees develop a deeper connection to their families, communities and the world through volunteer opportunities and other enriching experiences.
